Ice skating in autumn: ROCKEFELLER CENTER

Thursday, October 20, 2005: Opening of the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center.

The ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center was already set up. In the late morning the first people were already skating there (picture on the left).

In the afternoon they were setting up the stage for the opening show which was scheduled for later that day (picture on the right). At that time you could still get close to watch.

The opening party took place that evening. It was presented by Eddie Bauer. There was a band playing too. Unfortunately I couldn't see much because I was getting there late and the entrance to the ice rink was blocked.

There were a lot of people standing around the ice skating rink watching the show. It was pretty hard to get a good picture cause you couldn't really get a good place anymore.

The NBC Studios are at Rockefeller Center too.
