The Art of brewing: ANHEUSER BUSCH, NEW HAMPSHIRE
5th August 2007: Visit at the Anheuser Busch brewery in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
At my birthday we made a trip to the Anheuser Busch brewery in Merrimack. It was good timing since there was a car exhibition that day. They had quite a few good looking oldtimers there. After we looked at the cars we did a brewery tour. At the end of the tour each of us could chose two free beers. I took a Budweiser Select and an Amber Bock. The Amber Bock was a bit darker and stronger and tasted better than the other. Along with the beer we got mini pretzels. Since we wanted to do a barbecue in the evening anyway we stopped on the way home and bought a case of Amber Bock.
The brewery also had some stables. There they kept the famous Clydesdale Horses which used to pull the beer carriage in former times. They also had two of the old carriages including the harnesses in those stables. You could take a picture of the horses but you had to pay money for it. Therefore I didn't do it.
